Alarm-based video surveillance

IN THE EVENT OF AN ALARM, WE CHECK THE SURVEILLANCE SITE THROUGH VIDEO

videovalve

G4S monitors the condition of the surveillance site by means of surveillance equipment
equipped with video analytics or alarm equipment connected to the surveillance equipment. The operator performs a visual inspection of the video image of the surveillance equipment only in case of an alarm signal received from the surveillance site to the G4S Control Centre.

Depending on the system, the alarm signal is applied either by a video analytics rule or by an
alarm device sensor. G4S reacts as soon as an alarm situation is fixed on the surveillance site
as a result of the visual inspection of the video image of the surveillance equipment.

Possible activities/situations considered as an alarm situation:

  • unauthorized entry to the site,
  • fire,
  • offense or threat of its occurrence,
  • threat or attack that has already taken place on the integrity of the site,
  • any other situation described in the manual prepared for the specific surveillance site.

G4S reacts immediately even if, upon receiving an alarm signal from the surveillance site, it is
not possible to monitor what is happening by means of video.

The following are not considered as alarm situations:

  • upon visual inspection of the video image, it is obvious that the alarm signal was caused by animals and/or birds, shadows or beams of light extending into the monitored area, snow, heavy rain, etc.,
  • during the visual inspection of the video image, no movement is detected in the field of view of the video image and no objects that do not belong to the surveillance site are detected,
  • the client cancels the alarm.

G4S responds to emergencies in accordance with the terms of the contract. The following
options are possible:

  • sending patrol crew,
  • informing the client's contact person,
  • notifying the Rescue Board if necessary,
  • giving verbal warnings if there is an audio connection.
