Sponsorship
As one of the biggest employers in Estonia and a company operating all over the country, AS G4S Eesti feels a great responsibility for the welfare of the society and is committed to supporting and contributing to the local community.
Our goal is to contribute to the development of Estonia. Therefore, G4S Eesti’s sponsorship initiatives focus on the following main areas: ensuring a state of security in the society, projects targeting children and youth, the promotion of sports and a healthy lifestyle.
Our activities in the so-called social sponsorship field (a state of security in the society) are divided into three key areas: the fight against crime; the creation of a safe and healthy living environment; the provision of general safety training for children and organisation of leisure-time activities.
Similarly to our principal activity, our sponsorships are also motivated by the desire to prevent rather than deal with the consequences. This means that we will rather spend money on the organisation of children’s leisure activities rather than on the treatment of long-term drug users.
In sports sponsorship, our principle has been to have one or two “in-house” athletes/ teams/sports and to be their main or key sponsor. In addition to that, we provide security services at more favourable rates at major events in popular sports or at fitness-promoting sports events for the public.
We want to make sure that the projects we support cover the largest audience possible and are well-targeted. To do this, we prepare a detailed sponsorship programme and budget every autumn, outlining all the major projects in the coming year. During the year we only review small-scale applications and allocate funding for projects that follow our sponsorship principles to a T or that involve our permanent cooperation partners.
